JASA’s Sustainable Bag-2-Paper Packaging Wins Innovation Award

JASA’s sustainable Bag-2-Paper packaging for potatoes and other vegetables was part of the winners of the NL Packaging Awards 2019 in the category of Innovation Technique.

The NL Packaging Awards are awarded annually to companies that stand out in the field of packaging. A jury assesses different factors, for instance entrepreneurship, innovation and technique. The awards are divided in 13 categories, and every category has two awards: the winner and the runner-up.

“This is the winner because it is a real innovation on a packaging machine that is decades old. The decisive factor is the developed technology that leads to a new packaging concept. The principle of foil sealing has been abandoned and an adhesive system has been used as an alternative. ” said members of the jury.

JASA’s Bag-2-Paper packaging is made of paper, without a plastic coating, and is a 100% recyclable. The Bag-2-Paper™ is well suited to make packaging for dry products, such as potatoes, onions and flower bulbs, more sustainable.

During the NL Packaging Awards 2019 JASA was represented by the full board of directors including Eduard de Haan, Piet Pannekeet, Sandra Pannekeet and Hendrik van den Berg.
