Mackie’s Crisps Sets Up Recycling Point at Errol Factory

Mackie’s Crisps has recently announced it is getting on board with the chips recycling scheme which has been set up by Walkers Crisps and the recycling company, TerraCycle.

This allows the company to be a chips recycling point for Mackie’s chips bags, but other chips brands are also allowed. After being collected, the bags are sent off to TerraCycle to be turned into anything from plant pots to park benches and watering cans to cool-bags. The drop-off area for the chips packets will be installed in the reception area on the site at the factory in Errol, that is open Monday – Friday.

While Mackie’s accepts any brand of chips packets, the campaign is not aimed at popcorn bags, chips tubes, pretzels or meat snack bags, at this time.

Mackie’s Crisps are produced by family business Mackie’s at Taypack Ltd. – which was founded in 2009 as a joint venture between a Perthshire potato farmer, the Taylor family, and Mackie’s of Scotland, known for their luxury ice cream. Mackie’s Crisps offers a wide range of snacking options including a line of traditional chips flavors, a ridge cut series and several popcorn options.
