McCain Opens Expanded Distribution Center in Idaho

McCain Foods recently celebrated the grand opening of its expanded distribution center in Burley, Idaho. Following a USD200m investment, the plant’s state-of-the-art expansion, which McCain has operated for 20 years, will increase the company’s capacity in order to meet the growing demand, strengthen important partnerships with local growers and bring more than 180 new jobs to the area.
“McCain Foods has a rich history in Idaho, thanks to our dedicated employees, trusted grower partners and the overall community. This USD200m expansion will deepen our roots and commitment in this great state and grow the potato industry for years to come,” said Dale McCarthy, vice president of Integrated Supply Chain at McCain Foods North America.
The Burley facility currently employs over 730 people who produce and distribute over 4.7m pounds of potatoes across North America daily.
