Harry Tinson Has Been Appointed as the New General Manager of Crop Insights Tool HarvestEye

Harry Tinson, who has experience in international B2B sales from the engineering and transportation sectors, has been named the new general manager of HarvestEye's Crop Insights platform.

Tinson has several years of expertise in international aftermarket sales and marketing. He oversaw JCB's 750 aftermarket dealers worldwide, where he first developed an understanding of the market for agri-tech and farming equipment. Later, he changed jobs within the Bamford group to become sales director for parts and services at Wrightbus' AllServiceOne fleet support service provider, where he oversaw the strategic expansion of international aftermarket sales and operations.

Harry Tinson will be in charge at HarvestEye of making sure that the company keeps developing its harvest insights technology, improving grower experience, and expanding the company's footprint in both domestic and foreign markets to drive revenue.

HarvestEye, an inexpensive technique that attaches to harvesting or grading equipment, provides a whole-field vision of the size, shape, and diversity of crops as they are lifted.

“HarvestEye is dedicated to advancing the agri-tech sector and, following a tremendous six years since the company launched, I can see it has phenomenal potential to accelerate its growth even further. As a younger business with global ambitions, I’m excited to take on the challenge to scale operations, bringing my sales expertise to this talented team, as we look to establish HarvestEye as the industry leader for crop insights systems worldwide. I’ve already had the opportunity to meet with a range of growers and hear firsthand about how HarvestEye is supporting their needs to deliver precision insights on more crops. This interaction is vital for us to make better business decisions, enhance the product that we can offer, and diversify its compatibility for cost and eco-efficiency across several food supply chains,” Tinson mentioned.

With HarvestEye beginning to establish a sizable presence in several international markets, particularly in Western Europe and through its partnership with Elders in Australia, the new GM added that he is looking to identify opportunities where the company can make the biggest impact to support more customers on a mass scale.

“Harry brings a wealth of global sales expertise from highly respectable roles in similar industries, and we are delighted to bolster our leadership team with his appointment. Having an understanding of the territories where we are looking to grow, such as North America and Europe, will play a vital role in our day-to-day operations to make sure we can achieve our ambitious growth plans. We want to reach more growers and packers, as they face increasing challenges to maximize profit from their produce, and Harry will be key to establishing this network,” Vidyanath (Vee) Gururajan, managing director at HarvestEye, summed up.
