Recent Top Management Appointment at Restrain
Restrain, a developer of ethylene-based sprout control solutions has announced the appointment of Dr. Benedikt Cramer as its new Managing Director (MD).
Dirk Garos, who is currently the MD, will transition into the new position of Strategic Director (SD). The goal of Restrain is to maximize the potential of its technology to support a dependable, adaptable, and sustainable food chain.
Cramer brings a wealth of knowledge from his prior position as MD at Nufarm Germany, where he was instrumental in generating outstanding sales growth in the agrochemical industry. He will now be in charge of advancing Restrain's strategic vision and business development.
“Restrain has developed a fantastic technology to store and ripen crops safely and sustainably. It’s a solution with tremendous potential to further revolutionize the storage market and contribute to a flexible food chain that can handle the demands of a growing population and reduce pressure on the environment. I’m looking forward to helping Restrain build on the rapid growth of the past few years, taking the organization to the next level, and making this technology available to every farmer and warehouse manager around the world,” Dr. Cramer said.
On the other side, as Strategic Director, Dirk Garos will focus on the significant global opportunities for further growth, under whose leadership Restrain achieved remarkable global expansion in recent years.
“Benedikt’s extensive background in agrochemicals and his proven track record of leadership make him a valuable addition to the Restrain team,” Garos mentioned.
Dr. Cramer believes this growth will be underpinned by innovation.
“The development of Restrain’s technology never stops and I’m a strong believer in customer centricity. It’s customer feedback that will drive further improvements. In addition to working with our customers, we will engage with other stakeholders – food industry, processors, advisors, channel partners, etc. – in different markets all over the world to make sure they know and understand the Restrain technology and become part of this exciting journey,” he concluded.
