Haith Group Set to Reveal 2020 Washer & Destoner in November

British equipment manufacturer Haith Group will unveil its 2020 Washer & Destoner during British Potato 2019, which will take place between November 20-21 in Harrogate, UK.

Visitors at Haith’s stand at the event will be the first to see the new design, which includes a range of features. While Haith’s original Supa-wash was designed to handle 25 to 50 tons per hour, the 2020 Destoner is designed to appeal to companies processing 10 to 25 tons per hour.

Made from stainless steel, Haith’s 2020 Washer & Destoner has a new innovative barrel design, which incorporates gentle produce lifters and intelligent speeds adjustment for variable throughput and washing. It also benefits from a separate clean water discharge tank and an extra-wide destoner that gently transfers the crop into water.

The Supa-Flume Destoners within the machine features an oversized heavy-duty elevator that will cope with heavy soil and clod loadings and is capable of removing stones of up to 250mm in diameter.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard to improve on our market-leading 2019 Washer & Destoner. We have achieved this by making it quicker for people to change the crop, reducing the amount of water the machine uses and incorporating intelligent sensors to only release dirty water at a certain turbidity. We are looking forward to unveiling the machine in Harrogate and talking to people about the machine’s unique position,” said Duane Hill, sales director at Haith.

As well as launching the new equipment, Haith’s team will be on hand to talk people through its full range of washers, polishers, graders, box tipper sand packhouse equipment.
