FoodeQ Shares Details on HexFeeder Pro

FoodeQ has recently developed the HexFeeder Pro – a compact spreading system which is best suited for the quick spreading of tuberous and bulb-shaped products.
In comparison with traditional vibrators which are usually used for spreading, the HexFeeder Pro requires less length so it can be a good alternative when limited space is an issue.
The embedded hexagonal conveyor rollers have both a spreading and a cleaning function, as the fixated spacing separates moisture, leaves, soil, and dirt from the product. This way the HexFeeder Pro integrates an additional cleaning step and feeds the rest of the production line consisting of optical sorters and/or other food processing equipment. The hexagonal conveyor rolls aren’t hindered by small stones or grit, as the system sorts these parts out itself thus assuring the continuity of operations.
According to the producing company, the HexFeeder Pro is driven by two heavy-duty toothed belts in combination with a gear-motor. The firm says the equipment's design can be adapted in accordance to a customer's unique requirements.
