In order to stabilize prices for staple food products, Kazakhstan has banned the export of large and small cattle, potatoes, and carrots from the country.

This was reported on January 6 by the press service of the government of Kazakhstan.

“In order to stabilize prices for socially important food products, in particular, beef, lamb, potatoes and carrots, a ban has been established on the export of cattle and small ruminants abroad – for six months, potatoes and carrots – for three months,” the message says, cited by News Read Online.

Moreover, in the following time, the country plans to introduce a temporary moratorium on increasing tariffs for regulated utilities: water supply, drainage, heat supply, gas supply, and electricity supply. According to the plan, it will last 180 days.
