Tolsma-Grisnich Signs Contract in China during Trade Mission
In April, the sorting solution provider Tolsma-Grisnich participated in the Dutch trade mission to China, where it finalized an order with the company called Heilongjiang (Keshan) Fumin Agriculture Development Co. Ltd.
The mission started in Xi’an, a former capital of China and also the final destination of the Silk Road. Tolsma-Grisnich has operated successfully on the Chinese market for more than 25 years. They share an office with Kiremko in Beijing (www.kiremko.com), who ensure support in terms of marketing, sales and service.
Throughout the years, Tolsma-Grisnich have secured a firm footing in the market, whereby numerous projects for storage and processing have been realized with a majority of processors. Tolsma-Grisnich has already delivered more than 1 million tons of capacity for potatoes, onions and carrots throughout the country.
The reasons why Tolsma-Grisnich participated in the trade mission were extending the network, gathering more expertise about the developments on the Chinese market and finalizing an order with Heilongjiang. This business is located in the northeastern part of China, where local authorities are resolved to increase potato production and to add more value to potato crops.
Grisnich has designed a line for reception, grading, washing and packaging with a capacity of 30 tons/hour. This solution offers all the flexibility it takes to process potatoes. The line is designed in such a way that it can be further extended in future to process, for example, cut and puréed potato products.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Carola Schouten, Prime Minister Mark Rutte, VNO-NCW chairman Hans de Boer and Ed Kronenburg, the Dutch ambassador in China.
The signing parties were represented by Mrs Liu Guowen (secretary of the county committee of Keshan County), Heilongjiang (Keshan) Fumin Agriculture Development Co. Ltd and Erwin van den Berg, area sales manager of Tolsma-Grisnich for China and Asia.
