Tolsma-Grisnich Group Acquires Majority Share in Farm Electronics Limited
Tolsma-Grisnich, a leading Dutch specialist in intelligent storage technology for potatoes, onions and Vegetable, has acquired Farm Electronics Limited, the UK Grantham based crop storage engineering specialist.
The newly merged business will open up a more extensive product mix from both companies storage systems together with semi-industrial systems to customers in the UK and in overseas markets.
“The merger in which Tolsma-Grisnich has taken a majority share is very much a win-win situation for our customers and employees at our factory in Grantham as it is the intention of the enlarged business to invest in Farm Electronics and further grow the company securing its long term future,” said Tim Dudfield (pictured-left), managing director of Farm Electronics. The company will continue to trade and manufacture crop storage systems as Farm Electronics Limited in the UK from its factory and engineering design facility at Woodland Drive, Alma Park Industrial Estate.
Pieter Wesseling (pictured-right), CEO of Tolsma-Grisnich in welcoming the merger said: “We very much welcome Farm Electronics into the Tolsma-Grisnich Group and look forward to working with the company in forging and developing business opportunities with existing and new clients as we go forward. It is our intention together with the present management to further develop Farm Electronics' business in the UK regarding bulk stores and glycol refrigeration systems. Additional commercial staff will be hired for this purpose.
Tolsma-Grisnich, a family-run business with more than 75 years experience, has its head office in the international potato capital Emmeloord in the Netherlands with sales offices in China, India, Russia, Ukraine, USA and Germany.
Tolsma-Grisnich which has an ambitious R&D department, which Farm Electronics, will now have direct access to, develops intelligent solutions providing ongoing flow of innovation in the chain of unloading, storage, processing and packaging.
