China’s ‘Potato Capital’ Enjoys a New Lamb Weston Processing Facility

Recently, Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc.'s management team members celebrated the grand opening of the company's new processing facility in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, China, together with several notable visitors.
Situated in the region dubbed China's Potato Capital, the plant can generate 113,000 tons of frozen potato goods per year. The company will have more flexibility to satisfy the region's expanding client demand thanks to the additional capacity. The company has a sales office in Shanghai and has been running a production facility in Shangdu, Inner Mongolia, since 2014.
The facility, which was constructed in accordance with Lamb Weston's industry-leading standards, is equipped with the newest technology to promote sustainability, worker safety, and food safety and quality. Over 240 new employment are created for the local economy by the plant, which the corporation invested over USD250m in.
