Branston Launches Competition for Its New Truck Design

Potato processor Branston is now looking for an innovative idea from children in the UK, which will be developed into the design of a new truck.
“The company is now looking for another innovative idea and believes that creative young minds could be the perfect source. They’ll be getting children at the next CarFest event (August 26-28) involved and are also opening the competition up nationwide. (…) At the end of September, a winner will be selected and the idea will be developed to be used on Branston’s next new lorry trailer”, according to a press release.
The idea appeared after the Branston team spent the summer out on the road visiting lots of different shows. They’ve been having potato-related fun, with activities for children of all ages, and have also launched a competition to find a novel design for the company’s new lorry trailer.
Jackie Baker, communications manager, said: “Our lorries carry potatoes all around the country, so they’re an ideal opportunity for us to grab the UK public’s attention and share our passion for potatoes. The first designs started off with the intention of reminding people about how healthy and economical potatoes are.”
