Vanmark Celebrates 60 Years in Industry Equipment Business

Vanmark started in 1954 with an innovative peeler developed by a restaurant owner to help the kitchen staff in Creston, Iowa. He then formed the Veg-A-Peel Company to build and sell the peelers to a wider market. This year the company is celebrating its 60th anniversary in the world of industry equipment.
Ten years later, both the market and the peeler designs were developing with a demand big enough that a full line of equipment to support the processors was added. The company name was changed to Vanmark Corporation, known in the industry as just Vanmark.
After its 50th anniversary, in 2008, Vanmarkbecame a business of the Grote Company and completed its official name to Vanmark Equipment LLC, while in full process of launching a line of redesigned peelers.
The company acquired GME of Boise, Idaho, last year and added the business of hydrocutter production to their portfolio, serving the French fry and other cut foodstuff markets. A new development process followed, using cutting edge simulation to develop new designs.
In 2014, the company is celebrating 60 years in the business of innovative equipment development serving the food industry.
