Agrarfrost Continues Investment in Aldrup Facility

With an investment volume of around EUR20m, the family-owned company is expanding and modernizing the potato receiving, sorting, washing and storage areas on a surface of 5,000sqm. Through this investment, Agrarfrost seeks to set an example for the Aldrup location and promote the "Made in Germany" quality standard.
According to gabot.de, the Minister for Agriculture of Lower Saxony, Barbara Otte-Kinast, recently visited Agrarfrost to personally get an idea of the manufacturing process, from growing potatoes to the finished frozen product.
In addition to the domestic quality potato production and the existing state-of-the-art potato processing, the focus of the information visit was the current Agrarfrost plant expansion and an exchange on the competitive situation of medium-sized family businesses, due to new challenges and external influences on future market developments.
Company Owner Eike Stöver commented on the visit: “Politicians need to create framework conditions that will keep our agricultural products competitive on the German, European and international markets. All industry players should be able to produce and market their products under the same legal requirements and regulations. There is a need for action in many areas, such as energy policy, consumer protection or the unified European fertilizer and crop protection regulations that our farmers need, right up to clarification of arbitrarily imposed punitive tariffs on the export of potato specialties, for example to South America."
"Everything from a single source" is the corporate philosophy of the frozen potato specialist Agrarfrost.
