FieldLoad PRO Comes in a Compact 1800mm Wide Specification

Tong's FieldLoad PRO is now available in a compact 1800mm wide standard. The new model is intended for vegetable growers and producers who want to improve post-harvest efficiencies while operating at lesser throughputs than the company's flagship machine.

“The FieldLoad PRO continues to be a very popular set-up for truly versatile and efficient post-harvest handling. We have always referred to the machine as our on-farm and in-field powerhouse and it has proved to be just that, with many customers processing more than 100 tons of crop per hour into boxes, bulkers, and bulk storage. However, we work with vegetable producers of all sizes, and not everyone needs such a high capacity machine; and this is where the new, narrower machine can ensure all the same efficiencies to suit lower throughput requirements,” Richard Knighton, Sales Manager at Tong Engineering, mentioned.

The smaller, more compact FieldLoad PRO is designed for use on a variety of root crops such as potatoes and more. It has all of the same capabilities as the flagship machine but in a thinner style. A heavy-duty reception hopper feeds a variety of crop cleaning units, including Tong's EasyClean separator with Auto-Touch HMI controls, as well as the company's high-speed PU coil cleaning system and star cleaning units.

The new FieldLoad PRO model will be customized to growers' exact specifications and will have the standard 4-man inspection cabin and a 1300mm wide fully foldable cart elevator. When operating on-farm, a super-silent onboard generator provides power efficiency for in-field operation and can be bypassed for mains power. The new compact model, like the bigger model, can be selected with the most advanced optical sorting equipment as an alternative to the standard inspection cabin for maximum automation and sorting efficiency.
