To assist novice food processors and established companies, Heat and Control’s new TechnicalCenter in Mexico provides equipment demonstrations, process development assistance and training programs.

CENTEC is equipped with a variety of equipment for snack and prepared food processing, including fryers, ovens, de-oiling centrifuges, extruders, sheeters, checkweighers, metal detectors, seasoning applicators and packaging equipment. For potato products, tests are primarily available for potato chip, stick and snack processing. French fry testing is conducted for in-house development of new fryer technology.

Heat and Control has maintained demonstration facilities since it began manufacturing equipment in Guadalajara in 1985, but CENTEC was established in 2009 in a 1,640 square meter building adjacent to the manufacturing and engineering facility, and its goal is to provide complete product development, equipment testing and training for food processors of all sizes.

For established food processors, the technology center is a convenient and confidential environment to develop new products and to test different processes without interrupting production.
