Vanmark: “We are moving into a new generation of hydrocutters”

Vanmark Equipment LLC celebrates 60 years in developing technology for the potato processing industry this year. Over the last decade, the company from Creston, Iowa (USA) started changing its business strategies as it became a part of GE Grote in 2007.

Potato Processing International spoke with Tom Mathues, President at Vanmark Equipment LLC and Wes Jacobs, General Manager of former GME Company, now called Vanmark Boise, about innovations, business strategies, plans and history.
The “marriage” of Vanmark and GME International in 2012 brought more opportunities to the business which led to developing of their Lamina hydrocutter. With that new equipment Vanmark entered with new product enthusiasm in French fry market.
The new Lamina Hydrocutter will soon be introduced on two shows in the US. Vanmark’s team is confident in its success believing that it provides a lot of new benefits to processors.
