Potato consumption area increases in North Western Europe

The NEPG (North-Western European Potato Growers) has calculated that the consumption potato area in the 5 NEPG countries has grown slightly (1.8%) compared to last year.

More potatoes were planted in France: +4%, reported Fresh Plaza. In Britain the area increased by 1.9%. The estimates are based on a investigation among growers and official figures from the 5 NEPG countries. The data concerns consumption potatoes, including the early ones.
