Potato Council to host stand at Potato Europe

Potato importers and growers looking to buy seed from Britain are invited to visit the Potato Council stand at Potato Europe in Tournai, Belgium, September 7-8.
This is an ideal opportunity for importers to discuss the benefits of buying seed from Britain with seed growers, exporters and industry specialists, according to Potato Council head of seed and export, Mark Prentice.
This year, seed importers will benefit from the choice offered by exporters exhibiting on the Potato Council stand, which will be the one of the biggest at the event.
"Importers really appreciate the consistent high quality and health of Scottish seed potatoes," says Mr Prentice. "Exports have seen a phenomenal growth over the past five years and this year is expected to be a record.
"This is largely due to the professional approach shown by the seed growers to producing the right quality for the target market. We have pride in providing customers with the varieties they need to grow."
