Urschel Expands KRONEN Equipment Offering To Italy And Asia

Urschel is expanding the geographic reach of its food processing portfolio by extending the availability of KRONEN commercial processing solutions into Italy and additional Asian markets, effective January 1, 2026.

Under the expansion, Urschel will offer KRONEN systems throughout Asia via Urschel Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. and across Italy through Urschel International Ltd. Italy. The move builds on earlier rollouts in the U.S., Mexico, Pakistan, and China, where customers have already been able to source KRONEN equipment directly through Urschel’s sales and support network.

The extended portfolio allows Urschel customers to access KRONEN-based processing solutions alongside Urschel’s precision cutting machinery. These solutions include washers, dicers, slicers, dryers, and conveyors designed for the hygienic, safe, and efficient processing of fresh foods. Urschel said existing sales representatives in the newly added regions will continue to support both Urschel and KRONEN product inquiries, providing continuity of service.

“Urschel has always partnered with food processors to explore more options and support our customers,” said Alan Major, Chief Sales Officer at Urschel. “Through providing KRONEN systems, the Urschel network of sales and support extends even more processing solutions that work with Urschel precision cutting machinery. Invention and innovation are part of who we are as a company. We are always moving forward to discover new cutting methods and new ways to help our customers. These goals remain at the forefront of what we do.”

The KRONEN initiative was first announced on May 13, 2025. Urschel began offering KRONEN equipment directly in the U.S. and Mexico in May 2025, followed shortly by Pakistan and China. The January 2026 expansion brings Italy and further parts of Asia into the same direct-sales framework.

Founded in 1910 and headquartered in Chesterton, Indiana, Urschel designs and manufactures food cutting equipment used by processors worldwide. Its machinery is deployed across applications including potatoes, cheese, fruits, vegetables, and other food products, with a focus on precision, durability, and high-capacity operation.
