Pom'Alliance and Pomuni Join Forces

French and Dutch producers Pom'Alliance and Pomuni are joining forces in the fresh potato sector, after signing a mutual cooperation agreement on March 30.
Pom'Alliance has acquired a stake in Pomuni France and the Belgian group Pomuni acquired a stake in Pom'Alliance. The partners see a number of mutual benefits.
Both potato companies are complementary, both in terms of production and in terms of commercial specialties.
Pomuni France, located in Esquelbecq has a wide range of products, which includes potatoes for the microwave in packages of 500 grams, to potato specialties for restaurants, to 25 kg packages for supermarkets.
Pom'Alliance is more concerned with the small and medium-sized packaging of waxy potatoes.
Development of varieties, environmental challenges, and support for producers, these are all challenges that require an optimized approach of shared resources.
Pom'Alliance and Pomuni France are committed to retain their own operations and commercial strategies.
In a world where growers have to invent new production methods, where consumers are buying more prepared meals and where a fierce battle is raging in restaurants for products that are perceived as standard, Pom'Alliance and Pomuni will take up the challenge to create value for their industry.
