Grimme Strengthens its Presence in Osnabrück With New Innovation Hub

The family-run company from Damme was among the first producers of agricultural equipment to create its digital machine control solutions as early as 1995. Grimme has accumulated a great deal of digital knowledge over the last thirty years.
Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) has created new possibilities and potential solutions on nearly every level. To combine these many operations, a new Grimme location has been established at the Coppenrath Innovation Centre (CIC) in Osnabrück.
“We recognize the great potential of artificial intelligence, which should be used in a targeted manner and for the added value of our users. We have a competent and experienced team at the new location that summarises the diverse requirements across the Group, develops ideas, and drives solutions forward. The institutes and companies also based at the CIC offer an excellent opportunity for networking and synergy,” Christoph and Philipp Grimme explained this step.
Grimme relies on a new location in Osnabrück to attract young talent and specialists.
Dr. Christoph Halbrügge, Head of Engineering and Product IT at Grimme sees great opportunities at the company's new location near the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and University of Osnabrück.
“We see the opportunity to target young talent here,” Halbrügge emphasized, describing the strategic importance of the Coppenrath Innovation Centre.
To cultivate the next generation of talented workers, Grimme also intends to set up effective young talent programs at the new location from the main factory in Damme.
“The immediate proximity to the main railway station at the Ringlockschuppen also offers the opportunity to attract skilled workers from the entire region,” Halbrügge added.
Grimme plans to establish robust networks with businesses in the Ringlockschuppen, the recently developed Lokviertel, and the wider Osnabrück region, in addition to its proximity to research and educational institutions.
“Osnabrück is home to numerous relevant companies, institutions, and start-ups from the agricultural and IT sectors,” Halbrügge continued, emphasizing the opportunities for collaboration and synergy.
Twenty jobs will be created at the new Grimme location as a first step. The business uses a permanent staff in the Ringlock shed in addition to movable workstations for workshop and project work. This adaptable framework enables the creation of ideal working conditions for staff members as well as the prompt and effective response to the demands of various projects.
