Fairfields Farm Crisps Acquires Ten Acre Chips

Essex-based potato farming business Fairfields Farm Crisps has acquired Ten Acre, a producer of free from chips and of a wide range of other snacks, including popcorn.

Farifields founder Robert Strathern said the deal is an "exciting step": "Ten Acre has the same values as Fairfields, so we felt they were a good fit. Plus, their experience and rapid growth in export, opens up opportunities for us. Joining forces means taking the best attributes of both brands and growing the Ten Acre and Fairfields brands together, for continued success," according to insidermedia.com.

“We are delighted to tell you that we have teamed up with Fairfields Farm Crisps in Colchester, Essex, who will in future be producing and supplying all Ten Acre products. We have great shared values in both free-from plus and sustainable farming practices. Fairfields Farm grows all their own potatoes with the crisps being manufactured on the family farm and all energy used at the farm is from renewable sources,” Ten Acres announced on Facebook.

Ten Acre was founded in 2015 and specializes in gluten-free, dairy-free and MSG-free products.
