Crop Systems' Growth Prompts Investment

Crop Systems Limited is responding to a major growth in its business with further investment at its factory and new appointments, including Tony Barnes as sales manager. Crop Systems is a leading designer and installer of box and bulk potato stores, and says the current business growth is being driven by products like the SmartStor controller and CoolStor glycol fridges.

SmartStor enables storeowners to monitor and manage their stores remotely, and now includes a function that helps users plan sprouting suppression application sequences for DMN, mint oil and ethylene.

CoolStor, its glycol fridges, are highly efficient and require much less coolant that conventional models: “We are investing in strengthening our team, adding valuable expertise, knowledge and experience which will help us serve and support our customers”, says Ray Andrews, managing director. “As part of our expansion plans we are adding Tony Barnes as sales manager. Tony comes to us with over 35 years’ experience with a selection of leading companies in the potato sector."

Crop Systems Limited moved into its new factory at Happisburgh, Norfolk just two years ago. This has enabled it to bring all main manufacturing processes back ‘in house’, including construction of fridges and louvres.
