Bolu Potato Factory Has Joined the Ma Group

Ma Tarım A.Ş has acquired the whole share package of Bolu Potato Factory, one of the Turfan Tarımsal Üretim ve Pazarlama A.Ș. manufacturing units, according to a recent LinkedIn post by Cumhur Baltacı.

“We would like to express our endless gratitude to our Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turfan Tarıms, Levent Hatay, and our Valuable Partners, Yunus Gözüm, Derya Şenocak, and Vedat Bayrak, for their contributions and support to Turfan Tarımsal to date,” Cumhur Baltacı wrote on LinkedIn.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Miraç Aşık, was also thanked for his contribution to the Agriculture and Food Sector. Despite his involvement in various business lines, he has been working for many years to contribute to Turkish Agriculture, especially the Potato and Frozen Food Sector.

“We would also like to thank you for including us in our group,” Baltacı mentioned.

Last, but not least, Cumhur Baltacı said: “We are proud and happy to share with all our followers in the agriculture and frozen food sector, especially our sector stakeholders, that we have initiated the necessary feasibility and investment plan studies to increase the capacity of our new factory, which has joined the Ma Group [Ma Tarım A.Ș.], by 100% in a short period.”

Turfan is a Uyghur city in the Uyghur autonomous region of China. It is located in the Turfan region, in the northeast part of the Taklamakan desert, surrounded by mountains. It is one of the hottest places in the world. Agriculture in the region is made with water dug from the mountains by people called Kariz, brought up through underground canals that are 60 kilometers long and date back 2,500 years. These channels are an engineering work. The word “turfanda” used for early fruits and vegetables originates from the Turfan basin, an oasis in the desert, where early fruits and vegetables are produced due to its warm climate.
