Aunt Bessie s celebrated 15 years of success

British family run frozen food company, Aunt Bessie's Limited, is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year.
Owned by the William Jackson Food Group, the Aunt Bessie's brand hit the shelves in 1995 and now produces more that 20 million Yorkshire puddings a week, as well as a host of other accompaniments, meal centres and desserts.
The Aunt Bessie's brand has successfully established itself as a leading player in the frozen, and more recently ambient categories, and is trusted by millions of families in the UK to deliver quality, traditional food. In just 15 years the brand has grown to £151 million (sales value).
Aunt Bessie's Limited employs more than 300 people, 69 of whom have worked for the company since the launch of the brand.
Clare Field, Marketing Director Aunt Bessie's, said: "In its 15 year history, the Aunt Bessie's brand has gone from strength to strength. We've created a brand that's loved by consumers, with a hugely varied range including Yorkshires, vegetables, dessert dishes and savoury accompaniments. We have big ambitions and intend to build on what we have achieved for the next 15 years and beyond."
In the past year, 99.1% of the population has bought frozen food, with 58.8% having bought from the Aunt Bessie range. Its range of 12 irresistible Yorkshire puddings has the highest penetration of any product within the whole frozen food category at 22.3 per cent. Research shows that three quarters of UK consumers spontaneously think of Aunt Bessie's when asked to think of a frozen food brand.
